We visited Daisy Pop cottage with our 4 children & dog in May. The house is actually nicer than the photos (if that’s even possible)
With regards to our pooch, as soon as we walked through the door there was a goody box for him. Water bowls , towels , toys , anything you need really!
The owner sent us a list on emails of places that are super dog friendly & there was lots 🙂
The beds were extremely comfy, the whole house meticulously clean & the location perfect! We actually saw wild deer on our walk!
The kids & dog loved the secure garden & climbing frame & the welcome treats waiting for them.
When we booked the owner gave me a really helpful list of things to do & places to eat at that were to our taste.
If you book here I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed x

Lovely stay in a beautiful cottage.

Absolutely perfect for a family with children and a dog. The cottage had ample room and was spacious throughout. The en-suite was lovely attached to the main room; the guest bedroom had two single beds and the third room had bunk beds perfect for the younger kids. The two guest rooms shared a lovely clean family bathroom with a wonderful full size bath!.
The garden was fully secure for the dog and there is a great climbing castle for young ones when the weather is better!
The kitchen has a dining table for 6, with provision for any type of cooking, coffee or tea making that you could ask for! Superb.
A lot of luxury items were left for us to consume should we want and there were fluffy towels in each bedroom.
Finally the TV facilities were excellent. A Freeview TV with added Apps to watch when it was raining.
All in all a lot of comfort on offer and excellent location just outside of Penrith.
Convenient for the A66 to Keswick and to the shops should anything be needed in an emergency.
I would whole heartedly recommend this cottage for a base to explore the Lake District for a family or adults of of all ages.
• Nothing to dislike! Will be booking again for a summer break.

Cheryl Cooper, August 2023Lovely spacious cottage. Extremely dog friendly and lovely set up inside and out.Lots of walks from the front door on local estate and perfect location to visit Ullswater and surrounding areas

Just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay at Daisypop Cottage. It was perfect and just what we needed after the recent lockdown. Directions were clear and the sat nav took us straight there (very rare in the Cumbria area!) Upon arrival we gained very easy access using the key safe.

The cottage was so homely and welcoming. All beds had bath towels and hand towels on them, the kitchen had lots of goodies and the box of cleaning essentials was very handy and evidently very covid safe.

We also visited DaisyPop with our spaniel. He was very secure and there were lots of towels and throws to ensure he has just as much fun as we did!

The location was fabulous with a large driveway and easy routes to local areas as well as the central Lake District. During our stay we visited Keswick, Ambleside, Bowness and Grasmere as well as trying local food!

We ate at The PunchBowl Inn (twice) which is just 5 minutes away, in the village of Askham. They were incredibly friendly and the food was AMAZING! We cannot wait to return! Thank you Liz and Jim! Xxx

Our recent stay at Daisypop Cottage was very enjoyable. The cottage is extremely comfortable and is a real home from home. We found it an easy location to explore the Lakes and beyond and we also ate at some of the local pubs all of which served great food. We certainly hope to visit again soon

We had a fantastic visit to Daisypop cottage! We felt right at home in this lovely house and it was in the perfect location for us to go out walking and exploring. We visited Ulswater and Pooley Bridge for walks, as well as the beautiful Lowther castle. Such a lovely holiday and fantastic accommodation. Thanks Liz, Jim, Daisy and Poppy 🥰🥰

AirBnB review June 20211

WWe had a lovely stay! There was plenty of room and our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden space. This was a great location for exploring some trails and sights. Self check in was an added bonus!

AirBnB June 20211

The house was lovely and clean. It was much larger than we expected which is a bonus with a lovely outside area! The area is perfect with it only being 10 mins from Penrith and with easy access to the Lakes. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Airbnb July 2021

We stayed at Daisypop cottage in July along with our dog and grandchildren. We were fortunate with wonderful weather but also had such a good time at the cottage. It’s so well based for outings, gardens, pub lunches, the ulleswater lake is only a few minutes drive, and dog walks galore, even from the cottage. The children were lucky to have play equipment in the garden and a further adventure playground five minutes walk away.

The cottage has a personal touch which is evident in all the rooms with colours, pictures, fabrics and chocolates. All chosen to make a comfy and special stay.

We will definitely return. Thank you.
